What to do if WinXP cannot delete video files
Many users find themselves unable to delete video files under WinXP system. Some are due to permissions issues, while others are not. So what should be done when WinXP cannot delete video files? Below is a brief introduction.
Solution:
1. First find the start menu of your computer, click Open to see the Run option in the column, and choose to open it.
2. After clicking to open and run, a dialog box will pop up. Enter the command "regsvr32 /u shmedia.dll" in the blank dialog box and click to confirm.
3. After the confirmation is successful, you will find the words "Registration Successful". This prompts us to uninstall the preview function of the video file in the XP system computer, because what cannot be deleted is the preview icon of the video. After uninstalling, you can delete the icon you just deleted.
If you still cannot delete video files after setting it up under WinXP system, then it is probably a permissions problem. Just set the user permissions.
